Easterleigh Mission Statement
Easterleigh's mission is to relieve the suffering and distress of animals who need care and protection by reason of sickness neglect or maltreatment, by the provision of a rescue and re-homing service and a sanctuary for the temporary or permanent accommodation of such animals and to educate members of the public on matters concerning animal welfare.
Our Principles
To provide animals with freedom from hunger, thirst, discomfort, pain, injury or disease.
Providing them with the freedom to express normal behaviour, and providing them with an environment free from fear and distress.

Our Aims
To create a better world for animals where they can live happy, safe lives free from abuse and where they are treated with care, compassion and respect. We aim to contribute towards the eradication of animal cruelty.

We are a small local, independent charity, that doesn't receive any government or council funding, yet we have been rescuing and rehoming a wide variety of animals across the Fylde coast for over 30 years. This has been thanks to monies raised from our shops, donations from members of the public, fundraising events, partnerships and kind legacies.
Sadly, after losing our previous sanctuary land in St Annes, we were forced to pay for private kennels/cattery and stables to allow the charity to continue its much-needed work. But, thanks to the exceptional work and dedication of the trustees, staff, volunteers and support from the public we were able to raise enough money for a deposit on land in Staining Village (Moorsfield Farm) our new sanctuary and forever home.
Despite several setbacks the COVID pandemic being one of them with the help and support of members of the public we managed not only to survive but to make the improvements needed to ensure Moorsfield Farm was Health & Safety and DEFRA compliant.
This allowed us to provide homes for our horses and ponies in both long- and short-term care as well as providing rescue and rehoming care for numerous cats, kittens, hens and small animals.

Unfortunately, Moorsfield farm did not have any kennel facilities on site, and we have not been able to secure sufficient funding to allow us to build Kennels on our land to date. We have been fortunate to have the continued support of K9 kennels. They have kindly allowed us access to a small number of Kennels that we can use to house dogs for re-homing or dogs who have had to be returned to us. To help us rescue and rehome a greater number of dogs from our long waiting
list we are looking to increase both our long- and short-term FOSTER CARE. Please see ADD SECTION NAME HERE for more details on how you can help.
